Learning a new language is not only a great way to pass the time, but it can also help to keep your mind sharp.
Gardening
If you have a green thumb, gardening is a fairly low-cost hobby. By just spending a few dollars in seeds, you can grow a nice garden full of vegetables or plants to accent your backyard. Gardening is a wonderful outdoor activity that requires only your time and attention.
